BT7220 Vacuum Beard Trimmer is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor durability I have used the trimmer for about a year. It trims well but it is not reliable in the long term. As another user posted, the plastic clips holding the cutting guide flex, come loose and ultimately break. This is exacerbated if you ever drop the head into the sink and it lands on the clip (which is relatively likely given it needs to be removed for washing). My second set has a loose clip and I fear it will break soon. If the part was available online it would have alleviated this issue but it isn't meaning the entire trimmer is rendered useless, and this fault only exists in the current model; I never encountered with the earlier model.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Major and costly design fault I've bought three of the Philips vacuum shavers. No matter what you do, when you remove the cutting blade (which is ridiculously hard to put back in), do not drop it or shove it back in too hard. The moment the little plastic flaps snap, the product is basically ruined. The older version was far more robust. This model has been around for 2-3 years. Philips you need to update your product. You're onto a winner with the vacuum functionality that I couldn't really find anywhere else. I can't keep forking out for your bad design.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Previous model was better I have older model that has removable /adjustable comb. The only complaint I have is that vacuum chamber door latch broke very soon. I use a piece of sticky tape to hold the vacuum compartment closed, but otherwise the previous model works flawlessly and reliably. Removable comb facilitates close shaving. Had a look at the new model and I am not at all attracted, because I feel it would not be upgrade, but quite the opposite

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Razorburnt Couldnt trim under my nose with it set on 3. Always left heaps of long random hairs, broke a plastic clip off emptying it after 2 weeks and after 3 months it just started ripping hairs out. One time it minced my lip. Chucked it and bought a wahl vac, which has none of the above problems. Soo much better. Ive never rated any product before, but felt i had to warn people against buying this product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Broken head...no replacement part available Great shaver and was doing the job nicely. Had for about a year and as others have said the head broke (the arms that hold it in place very flimsy and broke when dropped in sink). Looked online and rang Phillips and no replacement head available. Wouldn't purchase again or recommend based on this.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works but very weak catches on comb and blades I've had this for 2 months, its easy to use, although comb is bulky and makes trimming under nose difficult, this requires scissors. My hair is straight but usually needs multiple passes to get an overall consistent length. The vacuum does work. I was a bit disappointed that the LCD display only displays trimmer depth and doesnt include battery charge unlike my trusty Philishave, its a gimmick that I wont fall for again. A Big Fail for the little plastic catches on the comb and the trimmer blades. After reading reviews I decided to glue the gap between the comb catches before my first use, this has worked, it has been dropped twice and is still good. The most recent drop broke one of the small plastic catches on the side of the trimmer blades. Called Philips the part is out of stock, umm! Instead of waiting I glued the part back on, I also glued some more plastic (from something else) on to reinforce the little plastic catch as there is ample space if you shape the add-on carefully.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful product Same as everyone else by the looks, bought this 6 months ago and 1 of the plastic arms snapped off within a few weeks - decent product while it lasted but really terrible design and will not be buying a phillips product again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is amazing!!! Bought this maybe 2 weeks ago and it is the best beard trimmer! Have no issue with how to use or clean. The vaccum feature is what appealed to me most and i am not disappointed! Im buying another for my dad for Christmas!
